Audiology Consultation?

Audiology consultation includes the best way to treat common hearing loss due to age, or may also be caused by certain problems that may damage the inside or outside of the ears.

There are a lot of hearing loss ranging from mild to severe cases. The problem of mild hearing loss can cause the sufferer to have difficulty listening to a slow or distant voice and difficulty with everyday chatting when too much noise is annoying.

More severe hearing loss can lead to total deafness, and can only use sign language to communicate.

Who should conduct audiology consultation?

Audiological consultation is recommended and should be performed if the patient experiences any of the following symptoms:

  1. Hard to hear disturbance when too noisy
  2. The sound around sounds like an obscure
  3. Confusion and difficulty following the chat
  4. Ears feel depressed or uncomfortable
  5. Frequent dizziness when not doing something
  6. Ears often buzzing
  7. There's a missing sound when listening to a conversation
  8. Difficulty hearing high-pitent sound

Patients who have problems with their ears can consult with an ENT specialist who will provide diagnosis, treatment, and treat disorders to the ears, nose, and throat.

If hearing loss is caused by something that can be handled through physical treatment (such as a perforated eardrum or a fused inner ear bone), an ENT specialist will handle the patient's condition.

However, if the patient is suddenly experiencing hearing loss and has nothing to do with the body, the patient will be referred to an audiologist or audiologist to undergo an audiological examination.

This audiological consultation will show whether the patient has hearing impairment or not. If the patient has hearing impairment, the audiologist will also explain the cause and type and how severe the hearing loss suffered.

This information will later be considered to determine the best treatment option for patients. Read also Consultation on AllergistDentist Practice.
